Poly ID¢ç is a selected product as the world¡¯s first printed RFID tag, which is known to be a key product for printed electronics. The tag consists of roll-to-roll printed transponder chips based on the polymer semiconductor polythiophene printed on flexible polyester film.
The chips are mounted on a low-cost antenna and work at the high-frequency range of 13.56 MHz.These first printed tags do not contain ID information, but a unique oscillating signal.
The first applications of PolyID¢ç are systems for electronic presence detection and brand authentication. The thin, flexible and inexpensively printed RFID tags make RFID applications possible in areas where silicon is not suitable.
The PolyID¢ç product line is constantly being upgraded in subsequent generations, starting from several bits down to the electronic product code (EPCTM), with which each product in the logistics chain can be clearly identified. The tags are used in such fields as brand protection, authenticity control, ticketing and logistics.
