SiBEAM`s ( http://www.sibeam.com ) SB9221/SB9211 WirelessHD HRTX Network Processor is part of the world’s first complete wireless video-area network (WVAN) solution. The SB9221 network processor, when combined with the SB9211 RF Transceiver, provides all of the functionality needed to enable a complete wireless A/V network, from joining an existing network to setting a WVAN up as a WirelessHD Coordinator.
Full support for AVC commands, compatible with HDMI-CEC, is provided. Communication with the host processor is over an industry standard I2C interface.
All major video formats and compressed/ uncompressed audio are supported, from 1080p video to 8‑channel 192 kHz audio. Content and data privacy is provided by built in DTCP encryption using AES-128 CTR. Embedded private keys simplify system development.
This second generation chipset does not require system firmware support as the Network Processor, SB9221, manages all aspects of the WirelessHD protocol including the OmniLink60Ô beamsteering algorithms. Innovative micro array antenna technology simplifies the RF design by embedding the antenna array in the device package.
