Solar cells are simulated within TCAD process simulation (ATHENA) and device simulation (ATLAS) frameworks.
TCAD tools from Silvaco, the one-stop vendor for all companies interested in advance solar cell technology simulation solutions, provide a complete solution for researchers interested in solar cell technology.
It enables researchers to study the electrical properties of solar cells under illumination in both two and three dimensional domains. The simulated properties include IV characteristics, spectral response, quantum efficiency, photogeneration rates, potential distribution, etc.
