With Optotune’s (wwwoptotune.com) manually tunable lenses for lighting, it is possible to realize a variable beam angle of a spotlight without any quality reductions (no intensity rings) and with very high efficiency.

The optical designs presented in the application notes below offer variable beam angles from a flood light angle of 40° all the way down to a small 10° spot. With the ML-55-106, lighting designs with over 2000 Lumen are possible. T
