USA - Reach Technology (www.reachtech.com) announced a new a new enclosed embedded touch screen LCD display module. The 5.7” touch screen display module uses a SGD wide viewing angle (130 degrees (typ.)) display panel with high pixel density (VGA 640x480) which allows more controls to be visible at the same time. The display module comes with a resistive touch screen. It is powered by the SLCD5+ LCD controller board which boasts a 266MHz ARM processor, and 32MB Flash memory.

The new 5.7-inch high resolution touch screen LCD display module comes with a metal enclosure that houses a serial LCD controller board, industrial 12-24 DC input power supply, backlight drive, and panel. Two-part screw-type Phoenix connectors are used for power and communications.

The units support both RS232 and RS485 / RS422 interfaces. The enclosure can be easily mounted in a panel, using a rectangular cutout and drilled mounting holes. A compression gasket provides an effective waterproof seal for NEMA 4 requirements (indoor/outdoor applications protected from windblown dust, rain, or hose-directed water).
