Cellebrite's (www.cellebrite.com) UFED Phone Detective is a software application provided as part of the UFED Series. It helps investigators quickly identify a mobile phone by its physical attributes, eliminating the need to open up the phone and risk phone lock.
To identify a phone, users answers eight key questions regarding the phone's appearance. Furthermore, UFED Phone Detective provides users with detailed extraction capabilities per device, connectivity details, device characteristics and more.

8 Visual Elements:
Phone type: This is the first step in the UFED Phone Detective process. You can select whether the mobile device is a candy bar, clamshell, slider, tablet, etc. This is the only category which is required.
Basic: Is the brand logo identifiable? Select the brand type: Apple, HTC, Acer, LG, etc., as well as the network technology- GSM, CDMA, etc.
Body: Here you can identify the phone by its a connection port, cable, charging socket, headphone and antennas.
Camera:You can filter the results by the camera type, location on the device, flash and other options.
Power button: Select the physical attributes of various buttons: power, volume, camera, keypad and D-pad.
Display type: Choose between touch, non-touch and stylus.
Miscellaneous: Includes battery cover type, memory card type and memory card slot.
Measurements: Enter the phone or display measurements.
